  • Construction of Gassantoda Castle

    Gassantoda Castle is a medieval Japanese mountain castle built in Izumo Province (now Yasugi, Shimane Prefecture) at an unknown date. It was constructed using the ridges and valleys of Mount Gassan and is considered one of the five largest and most important medieval mountain castles in Japan, alongside Kasugayama, Nanao, Odani, and Kannonji castles.
